Meersburg castle and Dagobert’s tower

Meersburg castle was first mentioned in documents in 1147. It was probably built in 630 by Dagobert I, who is also the namesake of the central keep of the Meersburg. Today, several centuries later, you can visit the impressive castle without having to conquer it first.

Friedrichshafen: a charming lakeside promenade with Alpine views

Friedrichshafen boasts numerous great sights, ranging from Castle Church with its baroque-style bulbous spires to the observation tower at the harbour entrance and the pretty lakeside promenade. Plus, there’s another special highlight: The Bodensee region can also be explored from above! Float along the Alps in a zeppelin and enjoy the stunning views!

Our tip: Before take-off, seize the chance to find out about the olden-times airships at Zeppelin Museum. Aviation enthusiasts will also enjoy Dornier Museum.
